ATTORNEY MURPHY ADDRESSES THE DADE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION
ON FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT
On Thursday, June 21, 2012, Attorney Murphy was a presenter for the Dade County Bar Association at the Florida International University College of Law on the topic AUnderstanding and Complying with the Florida and Federal Fair Debt Collection Laws.@ During his presentation, Consumer Law Attorney Murphy provided a comprehensive review of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (AFDCPA@). The discussion reviewed the FDCPA provisions concerning inter alia the restrictions on the abuse and harassment of consumers as well as the remedies which are afforded consumers under the FDCPA.
